Troy Barrott

Troy Barrott started his music industry career at major label BMG, working in various senior marketing and A&R roles across the Australian artist roster, cutting his teeth on projects ranging from John Farnham to Augie March. He spent the first half of the 00’s working internationally in London, Dublin and Los Angeles first in music publishing and then launching his own artist management company called ‘Hub Artist Services’. Returning to Australia in 2006 to open Hub’s Sydney office, Barrott signed new ARIA and APRA Award winning clients such as Megan Washington and Old Man River and developed the Hub business over the next 15 years, including a brief partnership with the legendary Albert Productions. While re-training as a music industry lawyer, Barrott established the Sydney office for international distribution company Believe and ran APAC operations for UK music publisher Audio Network. In 2022 Barrott joined Sonic Lawyers (AC/DC, Tina Arena, Australian Idol) where he is now an associate solicitor specialising in copyright and IP and continues pursuing his passion for supporting emerging Australian artists.
